Fluido - Bel Breakdown Alarm

The Fluido treatment plant uses an aerator to inject oxygen into the water, the "BEL Breakdown" alarm is referring to this Aerator.

Why am I getting a BEL Breakdown alarm?

The alarm will sound if the control panel registers that there is no current being consumed by the aerator. The cause of the bel breakdown alarm is often a broken aerator. However it must be noted that wiring problems, and control panel faults can cause this alarm. Replacing the aerator may not fix the problem

Can the BEL breakdown be fixed?

Yes, however the fix can be costly if a service engineer doesn't fully understand the system.

It is common for engineers to try and source a replacement Aerator, and potentially overlook the panel. Or replace the aerator by removing the sealant gel in the junction box, which sometimes isn't necessary

If the panel is broken then it is sometimes possible to fix it, resolving the fault. Unfortunately an inspection is required to diagnose the fault and repair the system.

If you have this error then you should ensure your service company has a backup Aerator in case it needs to be replaced, otherwise you'll pay for a second call out.
